YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER April 10, 2005

The disciples on the road to Emmaus walked and talked with Jesus all day long,
but it was not until they offered Him hospitality and He blessed and broke the
bread that they recognized Him. Simple acts of loving kindness still reveal
the presence of God in our midst.

OUR HOLY FATHER JOHN PAUL II
We mourn. And as brothers and sisters we celebrate the life of John Paul II
as not only our spiritual father but also the world’s. We say goodbye to a holy man
that walked with the people, and called us back to the Gospel message of forgiveness,
human dignity, justice and the Eucharistic life. Soon we will move from mourning to discerning
the successor of St. Peter. The Mass of the Holy Spirit will be celebrated for the Cardinal’s
discernment of a successor at Holy Spirit Church on Wednesday, April 20, at 7:00 P.M.
For information on the life of John Paul II and explanation of the Election of
the Pope the diocese has provided the following information center and web site:
Papal Information Service 1-909-475-5300.
Papal web site: www.sbdiocese.org

The Church is open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for visitation.

our Holy Father by Bishop Gerald R. Barnes are:
