| Re-membering Church is a program for individuals who have been alienated from the church or have stopped practicing their faith . Oftentimes they have been emotionally hurt or just fell away for different reasons. When they come back to us, they see the changes and are confused or wonder what this new Vatican II church is all about. In Re-Membering we try to help heal the hurts and ease them back into the Catholic way of life. Sometimes they just need to learn what we are all about. These people also need companions to help them on their journey. It take the whole community to welcome them back. They have an Order of Rites also and is celebrated from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday when they are fully welcomed and received back into our fold. If you find that you are someone who has been away and has been hurt by someone or something in or church or just fell away and want to know what changes have taken place. Contact: |

| We are constantly looking for people to sponsor new members into the church or be a companion to those who need to finish their sacraments. Also for those coming back into the church after a long absence. They need to be fully initiated in the church and practicing their faith on a daily basis. Willing to make a commitment for a period of time depending on the need of the individual. This can be up to two years for some or as short as 6 months. People who are willing to share their faith and traditions with another person seeking a closer realtionship with the Lord and our community and be a friend and mentor. | RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is actually an Order of Rites for the initiation of new members coming into our Church and for those who are already baptized Catholics who need to finish the sacraments and for some reason were not able to as children. It is not just for adults either. Anyone over the age of 7 who needs initiation or sacraments. It covers a wide range of needs. RCIA is an ancient Rite reestablished after Vatican II. At one time in the early church...this was the way that new members were brought into the church..They had to have some one sponsor them just as we do today. Then it was because of persecution and the early church members were cautious. Today it is so that they can learn from another member and the community..not only the doctrines of the church but how to practice our faith in the fullest meaning. They learn our traditions and our practices and we try to give them a sense of mission in the church and to the community as a whole and develop a relationship with the Lord that will grow and carry them through life.
